Classic World EDU wooden castanets are a simple, fun first instrument that lets children clap out rhythms and explore the world of music.

These wooden castanets for kids consist of two wooden pieces joined on a handle. Playing is easy – just strike one piece against the other in rhythm and a clear, bright clack rings out. The castanets train dexterity, hearing and a natural sense of rhythm. They are made of high-quality wood with no sharp edges and painted with non-toxic paints. The Classic World EDU line is made for kindergartens and homes, so the instruments are durable and safe.

What your child develops

• Sense of rhythm. Kids learn to clap in time with music.
• Listening skills. Hearing and copying sounds.
• Dexterity. Gripping and striking precisely.
• Imagination. Accompanying songs and dances.

How to play

Put on a favourite song and clap along to the beat. Change the tempo – slow, fast, quiet and loud.

Play an echo game: you clap a rhythm and your child repeats it.
