Toy tools and workbenches are for children who want to fix, build and screw things together. In this collection you will find a Tooky Toy wooden workbench with 48 pieces and a wooden toolbox, a Viga PolarB 2-in-1 workbench and toolbox, Woopie toolboxes and cases with an electric screwdriver or drill-driver, a little handyman tool belt, a toy chainsaw with a rotating rubber chain and a Viga nailing board with construction vehicles.
Small hands, real skills
Turning a screw, holding a nut with one hand and a spanner with the other, or tapping a peg with a hammer – these movements build hand strength, coordination and patience. Following a simple plan (“first the wheel, then the screw”) also trains planning and problem solving.
Which set to choose
- Workbench. A stable place for building – ideal if the child loves to work for a long time in one spot.
- Toolbox or case. Easy to carry and tidy up; many include screws, nuts and boards to build with.
- Tool belt. For a handyman on the move who “repairs” everything at home.
- Battery tools. The drill-driver, screwdriver and chainsaw add sound and movement.
Play ideas
Build a simple car or plane following the instruction cards, then invent your own model. Let your child help with real small jobs at home while using their own tools – such as “tightening” a chair while you assemble furniture.
More role play is in role play toys, and more building in construction sets and fine motor skills toys.
Frequently asked questions
From what age are toy tools suitable?
All sets in this collection are designed for children aged 3 and up.
Do the electric toy tools need batteries?
Yes, the screwdrivers, drill-driver and chainsaw run on batteries; wooden tools do not.
Is a toy workbench good for girls too?
Of course. Building and fixing are for every child who enjoys working with their hands.
