The Classic World vegetable basket is a 6-piece wooden set for a play kitchen or shop: a basket and five vegetables.

These wooden play vegetables are made for children who love creative kitchen or shop play. Each piece is quality wood, colourful and eye-catching. The set includes a wooden basket, a mushroom, a cucumber, a carrot, an onion and a tomato, perfect for open-ended role play – cooking, selling or shopping. Great for solo play or with friends and grown-ups. The cucumber is about 10 cm long. Suitable for toddlers from 18 months.

What your child develops

• Imagination. Inventing meals and purchases.
• Creativity. Playing chef or shopkeeper.
• Social skills. Playing with others.
• Language. Learning vegetable names.

How to play

Act out market day: your child comes with the basket to “buy” vegetables while you name each one and its colour.

Then “cook” a soup together in a toy pot and talk about what goes in.
