The Viga wooden spinning top is a classic toy that makes colourful, changing patterns as it spins – fun for children and grown-ups.

This wooden spinning top is simple but captivating. Once spun, it rotates fast around its axis and balances on a single point, while the colourful patterns blend into new designs. Children discover basic physics hands-on – motion, balance and friction. Spinning it takes nimble fingers, so the top trains fine motor skills well. There are 6 designs, and the one you get is chosen at random. The price is for 1 top, about 5 cm in size.

What your child develops

• Motor coordination. The top needs the right flick to spin.
