The Viga PolarB fox set has two wooden toys with a sweet fox design: a pyramid with colourful stacking pieces and a fox to pull along on a string.

This wooden fox set comes from the Viga PolarB collection, made in soft pastels especially for little explorers. In the educational pyramid, the pieces have to go on in the right order, and it keeps its balance well. The pull-along fox encourages toddlers to walk more and practise their first steps. Both toys are carefully finished wood. The set is designed for toddlers from 18 months, girls and boys alike, and makes a lovely gift.

What your child develops

• Hand-eye coordination. Each piece has to slide onto the pyramid's post.
• Manual dexterity. Gripping and stacking train precise movements.
• Logical thinking. Pieces go in the right order by size.
• Colour recognition. Colourful pieces help learn colours.
• Walking. The pull-along fox encourages moving forward.

How to play

Take the pyramid apart and rebuild it together, starting with the largest piece. Name the colours. If a piece goes in the wrong place, let your toddler spot the mistake.

Then go for a "walk" with the fox: your toddler pulls it along the room or hallway on its string, and the fox follows.

A great gift

The fox set is a lovely gift for a child of one and a half – for a birthday, for Christmas or to bring when visiting.
