The Viga catch the ball game: two wooden paddles with scored holes and soft balls on strings.

Introduce your child to active play with this wooden catch the ball game! The set has two differently shaped wooden paddles – long and square. Holes are marked with points (10, 20, 30, 40, 50) for competing and scoring. Two soft bean-bag balls are tied to the paddles with strings, so they can't get lost. The aim is to toss the ball so it lands in the smallest possible hole – the smaller the hole, the higher the score and the bigger the thrill. Great outdoors and at home. From 3 years.

What your child develops

• Hand-eye coordination. Tossing and catching.
• Spatial awareness. Judging distance.
• Self-regulation and focus. Calm aiming.
• Healthy competition. Playing with others.

How to play

Tournament: 10 tosses each, then add up the points – great counting practice too.

Take the paddles on a picnic or trip – the game takes little space.
