The Viga wooden doll cradle with a pillow and duvet lets your child play the caring parent and rock their favourite doll to sleep.

This wooden doll cradle has a classic design with heart-shaped cut-outs and rails on the sides. Its runners let it rock gently, which makes play feel real and calms the child too. The cradle fits dolls and soft toys up to 50 cm long and comes with a soft pillow and duvet. The sturdy wooden structure is safe for children from 18 months and looks lovely in a nursery as well.

What your child develops

• Empathy and caring. Rocking and tucking in the doll.
• Social roles. Playing mum or dad.
• Responsibility. Looking after their own “baby”.
• Gross motor skills. Rocking and moving the cradle.

How to play

In the evening, tuck the doll into the cradle together, cover it with the duvet and sing a lullaby – it helps your child settle into their own bedtime routine.

If a new baby is on the way, the cradle helps an older sibling prepare for the new role and talk about caring for a little one.

A wooden cradle

Wood makes the cradle stable and durable, and the classic design suits any nursery.
