The Viga wooden push-along hen on a stick is made for toddlers taking their first steps. A colourful toy that makes every walk more fun.

This wooden push toy encourages toddlers to walk more and improve their steps. Your little one holds the stick and pushes the hen ahead. Rubber details make it even more fun. The whole toy is made of varnished wood painted with non-toxic paints in bright colours. The manufacturer gives the hen's size as 15 × 8 cm, while the package with the stick is 50 × 18 × 8.6 cm. Designed for toddlers from 18 months.

What your child develops

• Walking. A push toy motivates moving forward and trains steps.
• Balance. Holding the stick helps keep the body steady.
• Coordination. Your toddler learns to steer the hen where they want.
• Independence. Your little one decides where to go.

How to play

Show your toddler how to hold the stick and push the hen across the floor. Walk alongside until they feel confident. The hen can ‘look for grain’ around the room or visit the kitchen.

Once your toddler walks steadily, take the hen outside on a smooth path in the yard or park.

A great gift

The push-along hen is a good gift for a toddler learning to walk – for a first birthday or a one-and-a-half celebration.
