Viga wooden eggs are a great addition to a play kitchen or shop: they never break or go off and can be cut again and again.

With these wooden play eggs children can copy grown-ups and cook meals for others. The set has 6 eggs in a carton. Each egg is made of two halves joined with velcro, so it can be “cut” in half – and inside it looks hard-boiled. The eggs are 4 cm across and 5.3 cm long. They are made of varnished wood with non-toxic paint. Use them in a toy shop, kitchen or role play.

What your child develops

• Imagination. Your child decides what to cook with the eggs.
• Creativity. Eggs suit the shop, kitchen and picnic.
• Emotional intelligence. In role play, children care for others.

How to play

Make breakfast: your child takes the eggs from the carton, cuts them and serves them on a plate to the family.

In a toy shop, sell eggs singly or by the box and count them.
