Viga wooden play eggs are 6 varnished eggs in a real egg carton – for a play kitchen and shop.

These wooden play eggs let children copy grown-ups and grow an interest in cooking. Your child can make meals for others, and there is no fear of eggs breaking or “going off” – play can go on forever. The set is a handy accessory for a children's shop or mini kitchen. The carton holds 6 eggs, each 4 cm across and 5.3 cm long. Made of varnished wood painted with non-toxic paints. For children from 3 years.

What your child develops

• Imagination. Making omelettes or scrambled eggs.
• Creativity. Inventing recipes.
• Emotional intelligence. Cooking for others.
• Counting. Counting eggs in the carton.

How to play

Make a pretend omelette: your child takes eggs from the carton, “cracks” them into a pan and serves breakfast.

Playing shop, eggs can be bought one at a time – and counted to see how many are left.
