The Viga wooden weaving loom is a real weaving workshop for a child's room. It comes ready to use, so your child can start weaving their first pieces straight away.

This wooden weaving loom for kids lets children make mats, bracelets or fabric for a dolls' house. To make starting easy, it is pre-threaded with white warp thread, and the shuttles carry blue and red yarn. The set includes a sturdy wooden frame, a moving heddle for lifting the threads, a beater comb and two wooden shuttles. Weave small pieces or join them into larger works. Made of child-safe wood, 30 × 40 × 2 cm, in a colourful box that suits gifting. Designed for children aged 3 and up.

What your child develops

• Imagination and creativity. Your child chooses colours and patterns.
• Fine motor skills. Passing the shuttle through the threads trains fingers.
• Focus and patience. Weaving grows row by row.
• Sense of aesthetics. Combining colours develops taste.

How to play

The first time, show how to pass the shuttle through, lift the heddle and press the row down with the comb. After a few rows, your child can carry on alone.

Switching between blue and red yarn makes stripes. Use the finished piece as a doll's rug or a coaster.
