The Viga wooden train puzzle – three chunky pieces made just for little hands.

This wooden toddler puzzle is the first step into the world of puzzles. Three thick, raised train pieces go on the board, easy for your little one to grasp and put in place. Bright colours catch the eye, and well-sanded edges make the toy safe and durable. Putting it together builds fine motor skills and dexterity, teaches shapes and colours, and trains logical thinking, patience and focus. The compact board is easy to store and take along. From 18 months.

What your child develops

• Fine motor skills. Grasping and placing.
• Shape recognition. Which piece goes where.
• Colours. Bright tones.
• Patience. Trying until it fits.

How to play

Take out all the pieces and name each colour before your toddler puts it back.

Once the train is complete, drive it along the table and say “choo-choo!”.
