The Woopie Little Explorer kit turns a walk in the garden or forest into a real expedition: vest, hat, binoculars, net and everything for watching insects.

This nature explorer kit for kids is made for curious adventurers. Your child puts on the vest with lots of pockets and the wide-brimmed hat, adds safety glasses, picks up the bag and sets off to explore the yard. Binoculars are for watching birds, the net for gently catching a butterfly, and the bug box with handle and viewer for a closer look. A magnifier, tweezers and tongs help study tiny details, while 8 insect cards help identify what was found. There is also a periscope, a torch, and a torch with compass and whistle. Green and sand-coloured pieces with animal motifs look like real explorer gear. The vest is about 48 cm long and the net about 77 cm in total.

What your child develops

• Curiosity. Your child asks questions and finds answers in nature.
• Observation. The magnifier and binoculars teach noticing details.
• Motor skills. Exploring is active – running, crawling and catching.
• Independence. Children take care of their own gear.
• Teamwork. Friends can join the expedition.

How to play

Plan a garden expedition: your child uses the cards to find a certain insect, catches it in the net, studies it in the box through the magnifier and then gently lets it go.

Use the compass to learn directions, or the periscope to watch the surroundings while hiding behind a bush.
