The Woopie Green claw sand scoop is a fun scoop with a built-in handle for the sandpit, beach and garden. From the eco GREEN series.

This claw sand scoop for kids is easy to use because the handle sits inside the claw, making digging and scooping simple. It comes in a trendy pastel design. The manufacturer states it is made from organic wheat-based material that is biodegradable and compostable, and that it has been disinfected at 120 degrees. Length: 20 cm. Designed for children aged 3 and up, girls and boys alike.

What your child develops

• Fine motor skills. Digging and scooping sand train the hand.
• Hand-eye coordination. Sand has to land right in the bucket or mould.
• Creativity and spatial imagination. Make hills, caves and roads with the claw.
• Eco awareness. Children learn that toys can be kind to nature too.

How to play

In the sandpit, the claw can dig a ‘bear's cave’ or load sand onto a truck. On the beach it fills buckets and builds sandcastles.

The handle suits younger children well, as they can hold the claw with their whole hand.

A great gift

The sand claw is a small gift for children aged 3 and up before summer or an extra for a sandpit set.
