The Woopie Green wooden animal puzzle combines open-ended play with learning: large wooden blocks fit into their places on the cards to make animal pictures.

These wooden animal puzzle blocks are an educational set for toddlers from 12 months. The cards have specially shaped recesses that stop the pieces sliding, so putting the pictures together is easier and less frustrating, while still building precision. The blocks come in different shapes and colours that fit the pictures exactly. The set has 34 large wooden pieces and 6 sturdy, colourful cards with ready patterns. The blocks are made entirely of eco-friendly, FSC-certified wood. It suits girls and boys alike.

What your child develops

• Thinking skills and logic. Your child finds which block goes where.
• Motor skills and precision. Large blocks are easy for small hands.
• Hand-eye coordination. Each block has to be turned and placed in its recess.
• Sorting. Toddlers discover their first shapes and colours.

How to play

Start with one card and a few blocks. Show how to place the first, then let your toddler carry on. Name the animal once the picture is complete.

Later, mix blocks from two cards so your toddler works out which picture each belongs to.

Why a wooden puzzle

FSC-certified wood is eco-friendly and durable, and the large blocks last a long time. The shaped recesses make the puzzle suitable even for the youngest.
