The Woopie pink sand set with a mermaid theme gives plenty of ideas for active play on sunny days – in the sandpit, on the beach, in the garden or by the pool.

This sand and water play set has everything for pouring sand and water, building castles and making sand shapes. Pink, yellow, orange and blue pieces make an eye-catching set. It includes a bucket with mermaid graphics, a watering can, strainer, shovel, rake, castle mould and sea-themed mould, plus a large pink boat for both sand and water play. Everything fits into a pink bag with a mesh panel and two long handles, so it is easy to take to the beach or on holiday.

What your child develops

• Creativity and imagination. Your child builds castles and invents water games.
• Manual dexterity. Pouring, scooping and sieving.
• Hand-eye coordination. Sand goes into the mould.
• Playing together. Great for play with friends.

How to play

Build a sandcastle with the bucket and castle mould, then use the watering can to fill a moat and float the boat.

Sieve the sand and hunt for “treasure” – shells or pebbles.
