Woopie pastel building blocks are a great choice for young builders: build cute animals, cars and robots.

This pastel building blocks set has large, safe pieces that are easy for small hands to grip. Special blocks with printed eyes bring characters to life, and pieces with wheels make builds roll. Many shapes allow lots of different models, and the blocks connect easily so younger children can experiment on their own. Play helps with recognising colours and matching shapes. The set has 86 blocks – a thick square, for example, measures 3.1 × 3.1 × 2.5 cm.

What your child develops

• Creativity and spatial imagination. Your child builds animals and vehicles.
• Fine motor skills. Blocks are pressed together.
• Colours and shapes. Pastel shades and many shapes.
• Patience. Bigger builds take time.

How to play

Build an animal with eyes together, then add wheels and turn it into a car.

Challenge your child to build a robot that can roll and give it a name.
