The Viga mini motor loop is a small wooden toy for little ones from 12 months: 12 colourful beads slide along curved tubes. Price is per piece.

This wooden bead maze is a sensory toy that builds fine motor skills. To move beads along the curved tubes, toddlers have to make the right movements, learning dexterity and precision. The wooden base has a colourful picture with coloured tubes attached, strung with 12 beads in two shapes. It is painted with safe paints and measures 9 × 9 × 13 cm. Colour and picture are chosen at random, as the price is for one piece.

What your child develops

• Motor skills. Sliding beads trains hand and fingers.
• Dexterity and precision. Each bend takes careful guiding.
• Creativity. Your toddler decides where the beads ‘live’.
• Shape recognition. The beads come in two shapes.

How to play

Show how to move one bead to the end of its tube and let your toddler copy you. Count the beads and name the colours.

Its small size makes it easy to take on visits or to the doctor's.
