About this product
The Woopie Baby sensory fox is a multi-activity toy for babies from 6 months: press it, pull the stretchy strings, slide the moving parts and explore a range of textures.
This sensory toy for babies is shaped like a cheerful, colourful fox that catches a baby's eye. It follows the Montessori idea of simple but engaging movements that little ones discover for themselves. The fox has different textures and bumps to press, stretchy strings to pull and parts to slide. It is made of plastic and rubber, has sound effects, and the manufacturer describes it as a rattle and teether too. At 22 × 16 cm it is easy for small hands to hold, and it suits girls and boys alike.
What your child develops
- Sense of touch. Smooth, ribbed and bumpy surfaces introduce different textures.
- Fine motor skills. Pulling strings, pressing bumps and sliding parts make finger movements more precise.
- Hand-eye coordination. Your baby learns to reach for exactly the part they are looking at.
- Cause and effect. Pull a string and it springs back; move the fox and it makes a sound.
- Attention span. Many activities on one toy help your baby stay focused for longer.
How to play
At first, show your baby one action at a time: pull a string and let it spring back, or press a bump. Then let them explore the fox on their own – turning it, shaking it and feeling every side. Name what they are doing: "pull", "press", "soft", "bumpy". Play becomes some of their first conversations, too.
The fox is light and compact, so it is easy to take on walks, visits or trips. It comes in handy whenever your little one needs something to do, such as in a queue or in the car.

The sensory fox makes a lovely gift for a baby from six months – for a christening, a first birthday, Christmas or a visit to a family with a new baby.
