Woopie Green "Elephant on Elephant" is a wooden dexterity game for the whole family: build a tower from 40 colourful elephants without letting it topple. A die and cards add new ways to play.

This family stacking game has 46 wooden pieces: 40 elephants, a die and five task cards. Stack the elephants one on top of another to build the tallest tower you can, or follow the die and cards for a different challenge. Bright colours and a charming design catch children's attention, while the rounded shapes suit small hands. The manufacturer states that non-toxic paints were used. The game is made of FSC-labelled wood and designed for children from 3 years, girls and boys alike.

What your child develops

• Dexterity and fine motor skills. Placing an elephant on the tower is a great workout for fingers and hands.
• Precision. Every move has to be planned so the tower stays up.
• Patience and self-control. Balancing takes calm, unhurried movements.
• Logical thinking. Children learn to predict where an elephant will stay put.
• Teamwork. The game suits groups and teaches waiting for your turn.

How to play

The simplest version: players take turns adding one elephant to the tower, and whoever makes it fall loses the round. With the die and cards, you can decide which colour must go next or which task to complete, which keeps the game unpredictable.

Younger children can simply sort the elephants by colour, count them or build their own shapes. That way one game works for a three-year-old and for adults.

Why wooden elephants

Wooden elephants have a natural weight, so the tower behaves differently from one made of light plastic. They are sturdy and last a long time, even after the tower has fallen many times.
