Woopie Happy Farm is a set of realistic figures that lets your child create their own farmyard with animals, a farmer and tools.

These farm animal figures are made with great attention to detail, and the bright colours make the animals look almost alive. The set has a large chestnut horse with white markings, a black and white cow and calf, a brown calf, a pink pig, a light lamb, a brown rabbit, a farmer, a wheelbarrow and a hay bale. Your child can play out a day on the farm – feeding the animals, carting hay and caring for the young. Play builds knowledge of country life and farm animals and encourages children to invent their own stories.

What your child develops

• Imagination. Your child invents what happens on the farm.
• Language. Naming animals and copying their sounds builds vocabulary.
• Knowledge of nature. Children learn who lives on a farm and how they are cared for.
• Fine motor skills. Arranging figures trains little fingers.

How to play

Set up a farm on a rug or table: books make a barn and blocks a fence. In the morning the farmer feeds all the animals and brings hay in the wheelbarrow.

Ask your child to name each animal and make its sound, or match each mum with her baby.

The farm figures make a lovely gift for children aged 3 and up who love animals.
